We have the metrically-built cars now, but that's about it. Now I am beginning to believe that total metrication will never happen in my lifetime (I just turned 58), and I am ready to give up any hopes for it.
What I want to hear on this blog is other people's ideas about how we could turn up the heat about metrication in the US.
One last item: I can't believe that NASA is backsliding into using ACU (American Customary Units) for their programs. http://gometric.us/xwiki/bin/view/Blog/2009-05-30-NASA-Puts-Astronaughts-At-Risk-With-Measurement
